This workshop will explore the mindset and skills needed to be a matrix leader, not a victim.

In facing geopolitical, business and market complexity, organizations are also becoming increasingly complex. For many, matrix and multi matrix organizations is one of the solutions to the need for transformation – and many struggle to get them to work and to take out the benefits of this way of being organized. Many leaders feel trapped in opposing and unclear goals, and role descriptions, not having the required authority to get things done.

So how can we reframe our mindset so that we as leaders and the people we lead are no longer victims to the matrix, but are able to strike the balance «good enough» clarity AND tolerating higher levels of ambiguity. In an everchanging world, what are the storm anchors that can be used for clarity? And how can I as a leader manage less clarity, take the significant room for action that comes with unclarity, and enable my people to do the same? Spoiler alert: We tend to over focus on the structure, and under focus on the relational skills, collaboration and developing the ability to live and work with ambiguity and complexity.
